K-562 cell line, lymphoblast derived from human myelogenous leukemia, has been widely used in cancer research and drug development in vitro and in vivo. K-562/RFP stable cells express transgenically RFP under the control of the constitutive promoter. The proliferation and trafficking of the cells could be monitored in fluorescence imaging in small animal xenograft model.
