Cre recombinase stable cells

Cre recombinase stable cell lines express Cre recombinase fused with GFP fluorescence protein, driven by the CMV promoter. The fusion of Cre to GFP enables visualization of Cre expression.  Cre recombinase, derived from P1 bacteriophage,  efficiently catalyzes recombination between two of its consensus 34 base pair DNA recognition sites (loxP sites). The Cre-lox system is a powerful system for controlling gene expression. Depending on the  orientation and location of the loxP sites, it can be used to generate inversion, deletion and translocation. Transfecting your loxP constructs to the Cre recombinase stable cells lines and test the loxP constructs before generating the transgenic mice.
